Dinner Event: Professor Richard Cooper Presents "A Glimpse of the World Economy in 2030"

Join us at the Centre Club for a reception, dinner and presentation by Professor Richard Cooper, Maurits C. Boas Professor of International Economics, as he presents: "A Glimpse of the World Economy in 2030"

Professor is a member of the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Executive Panel of the US Chief of Naval Operations, and the Brookings Panel on Economic Activity.  He has served on several occasions in the US Government, as chairman of the National Intelligence Council (1995-97), Under-Secretary of State for Economic Affairs (1977-81), Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Monetary Affairs (1965-66), and senior staff economist at the Council of Economic Advisers (1961-63).  He was also chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston (1990-92), and Vice-Chairman of the Global Development Network (2001-2007).  As a Marshall Scholar, he studied at the London School of Economics, and earned his Ph.D. at Harvard University.  His most recent books include Boom, Crisis, and Adjustment (with others), Macroeconomic Management in Korea, 1970-1990 (with others), Environment and Resource Policies for the World Economy, and What the Future Holds (with others).
